Kayaking on the innerdyle

Experience a delightful kayak trip through the historic center. At Van der Valk Hotel Mechelen, you can rent a kayak for a period of 1 hour and 45 minutes for just €10.

We have 2 kayaks available, each accommodating 2 adults. Even if you're not a hotel guest, you're welcome to rent a kayak. Contact our reception at info@hotel-mechelen.be or call 015/65 01 65 to book your kayak trip.

Are you with more than four people?

Right next to the Van der Valk hotel, you'll find Dobber's docking station. With their self-service kayak system, they ensure you can get on the water hassle-free. Choose a solo or duo kayak and explore Mechelen from the water. Our stations are equipped to let 14 happy paddlers hit the water at the same time. Reservations can be made in advance, but are not required.

How does it work?

  • Simply reserve online via the Dobber website or the booking tool: select your time slot and kayak type and pay with your smartphone.
  • You will then receive an email to open the locker, so you can quickly get on the water. Your belongings will stay safe in our private lockers, and we provide a waterproof bag for your personal items. This way, you can enjoy the water without worries.
  • After your trip, simply store the equipment and you're done.
